Foundation supports Covenant
to Care for Children’s
Critical Goods program with
a $5,000 donation, which
will be used to purchase
beds to Connecticut’s most
in need children.
The SI Financial Group
Foundation, Inc., continuing
a tradition of generous
philanthropy, has donated
$5,000 to Covenant to Care
for Children’s Critical
Goods Program. The Critical
Goods Program delivers new
and used furniture and
clothing to limited-income
Connecticut families with
children in order to prevent
families from separating.
This specific donation from
the Foundation will be used
to provide beds to children
in cities and towns across
Connecticut.
Since all the beds donated
through the Critical Goods
Program are purchased
brand-new, this donation is
especially important in
assuring the continued
success of the Critical
Goods Program. Despite the
fact that many requests for
bedding and other furniture
remain unfilled, generous
donations such as this bring
the program a step closer to
making sure that all
Connecticut families with
children have the necessary
beds, chairs, and dressers.
Covenant to Care for
Children is a statewide,
non-profit organization that
is based in Bloomfield. The
organization depends
primarily on families,
organizations, and
communities of faith for the
support of all its programs
and is extremely thankful to
all those who are willing to
donate their time or money
to support children in need
to basic necessities.
Created in 2005 by SI
Financial Group, Inc. of
Willimantic, the SI
Financial Group Foundation,
Inc. donates funds to

foundation focuses its
efforts on scholarships,
education, housing, and
community growth, among
other causes.
