Here Come the Judges!

Bloomfield, CT – Dance competitors know how important it is to have the right judges! That’s why we wanted to make sure we had a great line up of judges for the Covenant to Care for Children’s Dancing with the Covenant Stars event!

On November 7th at The Goodwin Hotel Iris Watkins, Miss Connecticut Teen American 2008, Hugh Russell owner of the Russell Restaurant and Ben Jensen, Chair of Hartford Young Professionals and Entrepreneurs (HYPE) will be judging three couples as they compete for the title. Our celebrity dance contestants are Teresa LaBarbera, Channel 3 Pinpoint Traffic Reporter, Mark Mitchell, President of Mitchell Auto Group and Steven Mitchell, Minister of Music and Art at the Asylum Hill Congregational Church in Hartford.

Each celebrity will be dancing a Fox Trot with an instructor from the Arthur Murray Dance Studio in Bloomfield. Al Terzi, WFSB Channel 3 Eyewitness News Anchor, will emcee this exciting evening complete with big band music by the Jerry Constanzo Orchestra, glamorous dresses and fabulous food. The evening starts at 7:00 pm with a jazz reception featuring Latanya Farrell, a silent auction followed by a sit down dinner, the dance competition and performances by local professional dancers. Tickets are $50 and are available by calling Covenant to Care for Children at 860-243-1806.
