I am a Regional Coordinator for the Adopt A Social Worker Program at Covenant to Care for Children (CCC). Over the past year as I have worked at CCC, I have seen many changes in the lives of families that we help. I would like to thank our faith-based communities and all of our volunteers for without their assistance, CCC would be unable to fulfill its mission of mobilizing and channeling the generosity of caring and faithful people to advocate for, mentor, and provide direct assistance to Connecticut's children and youth who are neglected, abused or at risk.

It is that time of year again: back to school. I would like to give special thanks to those who made it possible for Connecticut children to begin school with the proper school supplies.

We must keep in mind that there are families that cannot afford the basic necessities. By continuing to donate gift cards and quality used items, such as clothes and furniture, you will make a huge impact on those who are less fortunate. With the support of our community we can alleviate a lot of distress on many families.

Kensington Congregational church renewed its covenant with CCC on August 27th. Thank you for being part of CCC; your participation is greatly appreciated.
