It is time once more for Birdies for Charity!

Through the 2009 Birdies for Charity you can support Covenant to Care for Children (#47) in partnership with the Travelers Championship held June 22 – 28, 2009, at TPC River Highlands in Cromwell, CT.

A birdie is a score of one stroke better than par for any golf hole. PGA TOUR professionals are anticipated to make an average 1500-2000 birdies, Wednesday – Sunday of the Travelers Championship. You can pledge as little as a penny per birdie! 100% of your donation goes directly to Covenant to Care for Children.

This was a great success for us last year and we would like to increase our outcomes this year to support the dramatically increased needs of our children in Connecticut. Please take a moment and make your pledge in any amount that feels comfortable for you.

After the tournament, Travelers will contact you with the information on how many birdies occurred in the Championship and your pledge amount due. Or you can purchase a discounted ticket to the tournament through Covenant to Care for Children and count them yourself!
