In Gratitude. . . Covenant to Care for Children wishes to extend heartfelt gratitude for a grant  received from the Edward & Audrey Mink Fund, Becker Family Fund, Jaspersohn Family Fund, Paige Laferriere Wartonick Memorial Fund and the Turkus Family Fund to provide beds and household items to at-risk children in the towns which are served by the Main Street Community Foundation (Bristol, Burlington, Plainville, Plymouth, Southington and Wolcott).

The Critical Goods Delivery Program facilitates family preservation and reunification through the placement of required goods in the homes of client families.  Where possible, CGDP also aids efforts to place children and youth in foster care and independent living through the placement of required goods.

How Does the Program Collect Goods?

The Critical Goods Delivery Program collects high quality new and used furniture, appliances, clothing and infant items from individuals and corporate donors.  Five days a week, the Critical Goods Coordinator picks up furniture and appliances  with our agency vehicle from donor homes and businesses by appointment.  Donated goods can also be dropped off at the Covenant to Care main office in Bloomfield, Monday through Friday by appointment with the staff.
