Interested in Becoming a Mentor?


Take some time to think about the following questions before making the decision to become a Mentor.

Do I genuinely like children?

Do I like child- or adolescent-centered activities?

Do I like to learn new things?

Am I flexible?

Can I be non-judgmental?

Can I be friends with a child and his or her family who are different from me?

Am I dependable?

Can I be counted on to do what I have said I will do?

Am I willing to learn about child and adolescent issues, as well as emotional challenges?

Is becoming a Mentor something I've given some thought to?

Have I discussed my thoughts with others?
